This autumn
2016 our team of seven people is taking part in a Demola project called Smart
Waste Flow. The Kick Off meeting was organized at New Factory a couple of weeks ago and since then
our team has met the project partner and started working on innovative
ideas. Here are some details about the
first steps of our project.
Kick Off Meeting
We all met
each other at New Factory on 13.9.2016 and we got to hear about Demola and the
upcoming autumn. There was also a marshmallow challenge that all of the teams
took part in. The challenge was to build a tower and the only materials that
were given to us were some dry spaghetti, sticky tape and a marshmallow. The
tower had to be as high as possible and the marshmallow had to be placed on top
of the tower. When we were building our tower we all got to know each other and
share our first thoughts about the project. To our surprise we also ended up
winning the challenge with the highest spaghetti tower!
Initial Meeting and Value Creation Workshop
We met our project partner on 19.9.2016. Our project partner in this Demola project is
Pirkanmaan Jätehuolto Oy which is a local solid waste management company that
wants to develop its business. During the meeting we got a clearer picture of our project. In the afternoon our team participated in the
Value Creation Workshop where we learned about customer value and pitching.
